Undertaker to return at WWE Battleground and confront Brock Lesnar

LEVELAND, Ohio – The WWE may be gearing up for a complete twist in its recent storylines at this Sunday's Battleground pay-per-view.
Rumor has it The Undertaker will make his return during the main event to seek revenge on Brock Lesnar, the man who ended his streak at last year's WrestleMania 30 (The last time we saw the Phenom). Blogs have jumped on the rumor as being a real possibility, given a recent Instagram post by The Undertaker showing him in wrestling shape.

It would me a huge change in the landscape of the WWE. Until now, it's seemed all but certain Lesnar would win the championship from Seth Rollins before or during SummerSlam in August.

However, The Undertaker's return also makes complete sense. Having Lesnar, a glorified part-timer, carry the title was always a risky proposition for fans. The Championship deserves to be on TV every week.
Lesnar embarking on feud with The Undertaker would not only increase the hype for SummerSlam (they'll surely main event that pay-per-view), but it would also set the stage for WrestleMania.
It has long been suggested that Vince McMahon wants to see Brock Lesnar versus The Rock (or Stone Cold Steve Austin) headline WrestleMania 32. A feud between Lesnar and The Undertaker would conclude before then and take the title out of the equation (which is ideal).
It would also allow The Undertaker to jump start a WrestleMania-bound feud against someone like Kevin Owens or even Sting heading into next April's big event.
Furthermore, it allows Seth Rollins to continue his solid run as champion. It also gives WWE another shot at making Roman Reigns its lead baby face. I could certainly see a triple-threat match between the former members of The Shield – Rollins, Reigns and Dean Ambrose – at WrestleMania 32.
