NEW DELHI: BJP on Sunday held another meeting to reassess its prospects in the Delhi assembly election, but two top state leaders told ET that it has been conveyed to the central leadership that if the party loses, the blame would lie on the Kiran Bedi factor and the personal attacks made by the party on Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi went to polls on Saturday and almost all the exit polls predicted an emphatic win for Aam Aadmi Party.
On Sunday, while expressing confidence that hparty will win, Bedi told ET the election offered a few lessons for the party and those will be analysed after the final results on Tuesday.
ET learns that over the past two days, in different review meetings, BJP state leaders have passed on the "ground feedback" to president Amit Shah that parachuting in Bedi at the last moment as the chief ministerial candidate added to the confusion and only helped "bring out the incompetencies".
