Tusshar Kapoor finds Sunny Leone Bollywood's No.1 actress

Actor Tusshar Kapoor has had a "lovely" experience working with Sunny Leone in "Mastizaade". In fact, he feels she's the top actress in the Hindi film industry today.

"It was a lovely experience working with her (Sunny). She is a wonderful actress and such a nice human being. She is the number one actress in Bollywood, so I think it ('Mastizaade') should be a blockbuster film," Tusshar said.

Sunny Leone and Narendra Modi are among Google India's annual year-end list of most searched people

In India, more people Googled Prime Minister Narendra Modi this year than they did Bollywood superstars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan - in that order. However, PM Modi wasn't the most Googled - that Internet honour belongs this year to actress Sunny Leone.

Sunny Leone tops Google India's annual year-end list of most searched people, despite starring in just one film of dubious distinction, the risque supernatural thriller Ragini MMS 2. The film featured the chartbusting song Baby Doll, in the video of which Sunny Leone gyrates in various stages of undress. Ragini MMS 2 was also the most Googled Indian movie, ahead of such blockbusters as Kick, Jai Ho, Happy New Year and Bang Bang.

This is the third year in a row that Sunny has spent at the top of the search list - she was most Googled in 2012 and 2013 as well.

PM Modi occupies second place on a Bollywood-heavy list. He is followed by the above-mentioned actors who have, between them, appeared in court and hosted a reality show (Salman); ended a six-year long feud (SRK and Salman); refused to admit to a relationship while quietly moving in with her rumoured boyfriend (Katrina); conducted a vociferous war with a section of the press that tweeted an offensive picture (Deepika); played one of India's most decorated sportspeople on screen (Priyanka); and had the last laugh by starring in a hilarious spoof video (Alia).

At ninth position on the list is model-actress Poonam Pandey, best known for having threatened to celebrate India's World Cup win in 2010 by stripping naked.

Cricketer Virat Kohli, who has had an eventful year both on and off the pitch, was the tenth most Googled person in India this year.

Delhiites enjoy during Winter Carnival and Christmas festival at Dilli Haat in Delhi

The management also arranged a clown for the visitors' entertainment, while a pianist played carols throughout the day. "I love the tunes that the pianist was playing. I even learnt one song from him," said Gagan Mohan, a 12-year-old, who was there with his family. Though not many found the evening different from their other visits to Dilli Haat, they seemed to be appreciating the efforts put in to organize the carnival. Puneet Jalaan, who was there with his friends, said, "I enjoyed the cultural evening organized by Sahitya Kala Parishad." Kids also enjoyed camel rides, and many even got artificial Santa tattoos.

Street food galore

As always, the wide range of delicacies served at the Dilli Haat won the hearts of visitors. "A few new stalls have been put up for the carnival. I had some chhole bhature, which is my favourite," said Saurabh Singh, one of the visitors. His friend Surbhi Tiwari, added, "It's a place where we see something from every state and all the diverse cultures in our country. Besides the shopping stalls, the food counters here are really good and offer street food from various regions, like chaat, golgappa, noodles and momos."

Many Dilliwallahs stopped by Dilli Haat to enjoy the ongoing Winter Carnival and Christmas festival, despite the Dilli ki sardi, to shop for gifts and decorations for their homes. Kirti Kashyap, a student, who was at the carnival with her friends, said, "I won a Dilli Haat voucher at the Dilli Ke Pakwaan festival organized by Delhi Tourism. I bought a lot of Christmas decorations for my tree." Praveen Robert, who was busy buying handmade candles, said, "My mom is very fond of candles, so I've bought few with rose petals for her."

Dr Rajkumar Gautam, national president of IBSP said, "We have given 5 per cent reservation to transgenders,."
Chandra said, "Till now my election campaign has got full support from people. I am the only candidate in this election without money but I will contest. I am not like AAP which asks for donation. People have been cheated by the govt, that is why I am contesting this election".

Love gone awry, Delhi acid attack mastermind knew the victim for 10 years

After the gruesome acid attack on a lady doctor that took place earlier this week, the central government has said that they will now categorise acid attacks as heinous crimes and ensure time bound trials.
The police on Thursday arrested the mastermind and his three accomplices. Investigators said that this was an act of revenge.
The doctor was attacked on Tuesday in broad day light, first her bag was snatched then acid was thrown at her. She is now recoveribg at AIIMS hospital
the details of the case have left everyone shocked as the mastermind is a doctor, who loved the lady doctor. He knew her for ten years and studied medicine with her. The mastermind didn't want the lady doctor to marry anyone else. The doctor hired three people to plan and execute the attack. The entire act was first rehearsed. The plan was to attack her on December 17 but since the lady doctor was in a car the plan was dropped. But on 23rd December, when the lady doctor was on a scooty, the attackers threw acid on her.
The rise in acid attack cases has prompted the government to swing into action.
The government will now regulate the sale of acid, requiring sellers to record personal details of the purchaser. The government has proposed to provide free medical treatment to acid attack victims.
The Home Ministry has proposed to set up a Central Victim Compensation Fund for acid attack victims. Centre is also planning to categorise acid attack cases as heinous crimes and fix a time-frame for investigation and trial.

'Alcoholic' stills: Forever young! Akshay Kumar makes a style statement in printed trousers

Its time to get some hot news.......

    Merry Christmas to all!!

Merry Christmas to All my friends and all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xmas fever warms hearts & markets

NEW DELHI: Nitin Vasdav likes Christmas. And he has his own reason. "Christmas is just another excuse for me to buy gifts for myself and my family, unlike Diwali where I have to buy gifts for others," he says. With the Yuletide fever gripping Delhiites, many like Vasdav are going out with their shopping bags to take their pick from a host of goodies up for sale.

Children are finding their own motivation to celebrate Christmas in their schools. Many schools have installed beautifully decorated life-size trees in the hallways, and encouraged students to do so at home. Some have also organized decoration contests, while others are promoting games like Secret Santa, where someone secretly gifts his/her friend with something on Christmas Eve.

Neeta Tripathi says the festival is pretty big in their family. "We celebrate Christmas at a large scale since my daughter started going to a convent school and brought in this culture in the family," she says.

Naturally, with all this activity happening, there's a rising demand for Christmas goodies. And markets are proving equal to the task. From Santas to chocolate boxes, reindeers to fairies, the market has a good variety of Christmas paraphernalia. There's a decent amount of innovation too. For instance, there are dancing Santas, animated Santas, Chinese Santas and even moulded ones in the market. Santa caps and costumes are forever hit among kids.

"We have Christmas goodies ranging from Rs 75 to Rs 1.25 lakh. We have seen a rise in demand for large X-mas trees from various organizations like the American school, Swiss embassy, leading hotels like JW Marriott, Taj etc who demand thematic trees laced with lights mistletoes and chocolates," says Mukesh Goyal, owner of Kriti Creations in Khan Market.

This time, eco-friendly trees made of PVC are also available. Khan Market-based florists, Fragrance, have trees priced between Rs 150 and Rs 5,000. Owner Sanjay Rajora says they keep things in tune with what's fad. "We used to get handicrafts for decorations from China till last year; but this year, we decided to keep only made in India products," he adds.

Afghan woman alleges assault by 2 officials

NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old woman from Kabul, Afghanistan, has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by two top officials of a Vikaspuri-based educational institute for over a year. She claimed that the accused are close to a well-known politician of Palam area in southwest Delhi. The duo has been blackmailing and threatening her, she alleged.

The woman came to India in 2012, but did not return as her parents wanted to her get married against her wishes. The woman said she wanted to study and got a UN refugee card made for herself. She then enrolled herself for a civil engineering course at the institute and met the two officials during the admission process.

In the FIR, she said that the two offered her a job as a personal assistant at their office and asked her to continue her studies simultaneously. The duo took her and another student to a resort located two hours from Delhi and raped her. Thereafter, they assaulted her daily at their office by forcing her to work at odd hours. They even threatened to sack her and get her deported if she resisted. They had got her a rented accommodation and used it to assault her.

The woman claimed that the accused took away $40,000, which her family had given her, on the pretext of keeping it safe. The woman said she kept mum as she had nowhere to go and her visa had expired.

She had even informed one of the accused's wife, but the accused feigned ignorance. A few days ago, she was even attacked by the two men while she was on her way home.

An FIR was registered at Dwarka Sector 23 police station a few days ago against the two. No arrests have been made so far as police are still probing the case. They have, however, questioned the accused.

    24-year-old rape case reopens

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old rape case was reopened in a fast-track court here after the arrest of the accused who was absconding .

Additional sessions judge Sarita Birbal reopened the trial after the accused, Lakhpat, who was evading arrest, was produced before the court. The court has now posted the matter for January 6, 2015. Lakhpat had kidnapped a 12-year-old girl from east Delhi on July 6, 1990 and had raped her.

Missing 17-year-old girl reunited with parents

NEW DELHI: As part of its project to return missing children lodged in homes to their families, Delhi Police's crime branch has reunited a 17-year-old girl with her parents in Ludhiana.

Police said 'Operation Milap' was launched after a study revealed several children reported missing were lodged at children's homes in the capital. A team led by DCP Dinesh K Gupta came across the girl at the "Ashraya Family Home" in Bawana's Madanpur Dabas area. Police said the girl initially refused to talk to the cops but later broke down and told the police.

"The girl said her father worked as a stone-cutter in Ludhiana and also occasionally sold balloons at fairs in and around Delhi. Last September, she accompanied her father to a fair and when her father was busy, a boy named Rinku lured her away with sweets and kidnapped her. She said the man confined her at his home in Bawana for 10 days and raped her several times," a police officer said.

Police said she was taken to the children's home after she managed to escape from the man's house. On Friday, police officers informed the minor's parents and handed her over to them. Her parents have also been counselled by Child Welfare Committee officials.

North India Shivers Under Cold Wave, Fog Delays 90 Trains in Delhi

Nearly 90 trains were delayed in Delhi because of thick fog as large parts of north India battled severe cold.

Northern Railway officials said 63 trains on their way to Delhi and 27 leaving the national capital had to be rescheduled due to the fog, but none of them were cancelled.

The fog also hit flight schedules; two departures were delayed by more than 15 minutes but no flights were diverted or cancelled, said an official.

Parts of the capital woke up to dense fog today with the mercury dropping to 7.4 degrees Celsius, one degree below the season's average.

With the maximum temperature being recorded at 17.4 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal, the Meteorological department had declared cold day conditions in Delhi yesterday. (Keep Someone Warm this Winter: Donate a Blanket)

Predicting party cloudy skies, the Met department said that the maximum temperature may rise to 18 degrees Celsius today. "The skies will remain party cloudy with moderate to dense fog in the morning," a weather official said.

Extreme cold conditions in states like Himachal Pradesh have so far reportedly claimed 30 lives.

Snowfall in the hill states and icy winds across the plains have dragged temperatures down across North India, with several regions experiencing thick fog and poor visibility.

A bout of snowfall earlier in the week in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla have snapped electricity supply and jammed water pipes. State agencies are now trying to restore water and power supply, as well as clear nearly 200 roads that have been blocked by the snow.

Several tourists, who were stranded in Kullu and Manali by the snowfall, have been rescued.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar witnessed one of its coldest nights yesterday, at -4.2 degree Celsius. Minimum temperatures in the valley have hovered between -3 and -7 in the last one week.

Night temperatures in Ladakh have dropped between -15 and -14 degree Celsius.

Cold conditions prevailed at several places in Punjab and Haryana, where a heavy blanket of fog affected road traffic. "It's very foggy and it has become very difficult to deliver goods to the customer," said Sukhvinder Singh, a truck driver from Amritsar.

The mercury also dipped in Uttar Pradesh, with Muzaffarnagar and Agra recording the lowest temperatures.

"It is very cold. We are shivering and the trains are leaving very late," said a worker outside Kanpur railway station.

Black males murder five year old white girl in Milwaukee. No national outrage

    MJS laylah_petersen_sierra_guyton.jpgWhere is MSNBC now?
Two black males in Milwaukee walked up to the home of a white family, in a majority black neighborhood, and unleashed a hail of gunfire. A five year old white girl, Laylah Petersen, was murdered while sitting on her grandfather’s lap.
Milwaukee police say there is no question the shooters were deliberating trying to kill people inside the house. At least a dozen bullets were fired directly into the house. There may have been a third person driving a getaway car.
The house was located in a census tract that is 77% black and 14% white.
The Milwaukee Sentinel and Milwaukee channel 6 have actually been trying to downplay the murder. They are falsly reporting that it was “a stray bullet.” That directly contradicts all the evidence found by police.
If the races were reversed, this would be the biggest news story in the entire western world right now. Imagine for one second that two white males walked up to a black occupied home, in a mostly white neighborhood, and opened fire. Imagine a five year old black girl was murdered while sitting on her grandfather’s lap. There would weeks of national coverage. There would be documentaries. The story would be revisited by the national media over and over for the next ten years.
For decades, Midwestern black street gangs have used racially motivated violence against white people as gang initiations. The most common form is mob attacks on white college students. However, more and more gang initiations are targeting random white people for shootings. There have been numerous fatalities. Black on white hate crime violence is also surging due to media agitation over Ferguson. A panel on MSNBC even urged blacks to “make white people feel uncomfortable.” A statement that seemed to greenlight black on white hate crime violence.

Youth jailed for life for raping 80-year-old mentally ill woman

NEW DELHI: A youth, convicted for raping a mentally challenged 80-year-old woman who is in a persistent vegetative state, has been jailed for rest of his life by a Delhi court.

Awarding the jail term to 24-year-old Shankar Singh, additional sessions judge Nivedita Anil Sharma also made it clear that "life means the remainder of the convict's natural life".

"It has already been observed in the judgement that this case is a glaring example of the growing menace of sexual abuse. Rape is an abominable and ghastly and it worsens and becomes inhuman and barbaric when the victim who is in a persistent vegetative state besides being a senior citizen of advanced age of about 80 years is subjected to unwanted physical contact by a perverted male young adult," the court said and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on Singh.

11 months on, driver held for Rohini murder

NEW DELHI: Eleven months after an 80year-old woman was found murdered at her Rohini apartment, her flat ransacked and son-in-law bundled up in their car, crime branch officials have cracked the case and have arrested the mastermind.

The accused Rajesh Kumar, a plumber, used to double up as a driver for the family. Delhi police commissioner B S Bassi had declared a reward of Rs 50,000 on him.

Additional CP (crime) Ashok Chand said Rajesh had fled to Rajasthan, but was tracked down using local intelligence and surveillance upon his return recently.

The woman, Krishna, used to live with her daughter, Sandhya, and son-in-law, Shailesh, at Balaji apartments at Rohini.Sandhya teaches at a government school and Shailendra has his own business.

On January 29, the couple had left for their offices at 7.30am. Subsequently, Shailesh went to deposit money in a bank. On not getting any alert message from the bank till 10am, Sandhya called up her husband who did not reply.

Later, another family driver Raman received her call and said Shailesh was busy with his friends. She asked Raman to come to her school and pick her up, but he did not turn up. On returning home at 1.30pm, she found her mother lying dead on floor and household articles scattered. The locks of almirahs were broken and Rs 5 lakh and some jewellery were missing. The entire CCTV system was also missing from the house.

"Shailesh and his car were not trace able. Later that evening, Shailesh was found in semi-conscious state inside his car at an isolated stretch behind M2K market, Rohini. He said he had a few drinks in presence of Rajesh and Raman and doesn't remember anything after that," DCP (crime) Dinesh Gupta said.

The case, which had had cops on their toes for almost a year, was finally solved after the police got a tip-off that Rajesh would be returning to Delhi to meet his girlfriend and arrange for finances. "A team led by inspector Pu ran Pant and others laid a trap and ar rested the accused. He confessed to the crime," DCP Gupta said.

The accused revealed that they had served liquor spiked with drugs to Shailendra in the car that morning and had abducted him after he fell unconscious.

After taking house's keys from him, they sneaked into the house and overpowered Krishna. They thrashed her mercilessly and then strangled her.

The hunt is on for Rajesh's associate, Raman.

    Truck crushes policeman, driver arrested

NEW DELHI: A 50-year-old policeman was crushed by a speeding truck in outer Delhi's Alipur area on Thursday night when he was returning from duty. The truck driver has been arrested.

The incident was reported around 11pm near the Palladhar-GT Karnal road crossing which has been dubbed as an accident prone zone by the traffic police. Police said additional sub inspector Hazari Lal was going to his house in Alipur and had slowed down at a police picket when the truck rammed his bike.

Lal was posted at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station for the last five years, police said. He had received 192 rewards from Delhi Police and had caught 60 proclaimed offenders. Police said Lal was thrown off his bike by the impact and then dragged for at least 50 metres by the truck.

Hearing the crash, cops from the police picket rushed to the spot and nabbed the truck driver, identified as Rajat Kumar, a resident of Himachal Pradesh.

Lal was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival with injuries to his head and limbs. His family members were informed and the body was handed over to them on Friday morning. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the truck driver.
